“Alison and JW are one of the sweetest, and most fun couples I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with. Their wedding day was easygoing and enjoyable for everyone involved. Of course it always helps when a couple is so head over heels in love like JW and Alison. I cannot say enough about this beautiful couple. I know their years together will be filled with love and laughter! I hope you enjoy some of Mr. and Mrs. Bryant’s wedding highlights!” -Elizabeth Thompson, Elizabeth Thompson Photography

Q&A with the bride, Allison

Did you do any DIY projects?

I made homemade strawberry jam and pink moscato jelly for favors, the flower girl baskets, the picture frames and sign for the wedding, and our guestbook using our engagement pictures that Elizabeth took.

What are your favorite details from your wedding day?

My bouquet!! Courtney from Sango Village Florist sent me a picture of my bouquet as soon as she finished it, and I literally got chills and had to catch my breath it was so beautiful! The way the decorations for the reception looked, Amber did an amazing job at bringing everything together! The photobooth was also super fun!

Any advice for brides planning their wedding day?

Give yourself plenty of time to plan. Set a budget and stick to it. Use a checklist so that you aren't rushing to get everything done at the last minute. Hire a coordinator and listen to them when they tell you that "you aren't allowed to lift a finger on your wedding day!!" :) Remember to step back, breath, realize that no wedding has ever been absolutely perfect, laugh at anything that doesn't go exactly as planned, and get super excited because in the end, you get to marry your best friend!

If you could go back and change anything on your wedding day, what would it be?

I can't think of a single thing I would change, our wedding day was awesome.

What was your first step in planning your wedding day?

Picking a date, setting a budget, picking a color palette and booking the venue

Did you have a "First Look"? Yes we did! Originally JW wanted to go the more "traditional" route and wait to see each other until I was walking down the aisle. But anyone that knows me, knows that I would have been a total blubbering mess, complete with mascara running down my face, so he gave in and we did a "first look". We are both so glad we did, it was a chance for us to see each other and be alone for a few minutes to just breath. It was the only time to ourselves that we got the entire day!

‘It was such a pleasure to coordinate Alison and JW's wedding day. They were the sweetest couple and had an amazing wedding party! Alison was so organized and had everything laid out for me to coordinate their wedding exactly as she wanted it! I loved everything about their wedding from the tree planting part of their ceremony to the bouquets and centerpieces! It was such a pleasure and a great time to coordinate their wedding for them!’

What is your favorite memory from your wedding day?

Our "first look", seeing all my bridesmaids in their dresses for the first time, having our friends and family together celebrating with us, and of course the FOOD!

Anything the groom would like to add about the wedding planning/wedding day? I would definitely recommend getting a wedding coordinator. Our wedding day went smoothly thanks to Amber!
